Airport Body Scanners Pros or Cons
Airport Body Scanners Pros or Cons. Have they gone to far? What have we become? A country that does not trust? Are a country thats doing its best to protect us. Is it wrong to pat down a 3 year old? If it were kid you wouldn't like it. Is it necessary? Airport security is a number 1 priority and a top issue. We want to feel safe and be safe in this country, then this is it. The pat downs the going through airport security and the full body scanners. This is what we have become. We don't want 911 to repeat itself. No we do not want that . That was the most horrible time in our country, and the innocent lose of lives. It will always be in our mind. That horrible day, I will never forget nor will you or any of our country or around the world.
When the man said 'Don't touch my junk or ill have you arrested' this is what we have become. I do believe tact should be used when trying to grope us, but we still have to go through these Check Point Charley's. as i call them. Do we like it ? NO! But is it the law? Yes it is. If we want to fly in the friendly sky's we play by these rules.
I heard someone say the other day, they weren't going to check anyone under 12 anymore. Well this OK as long as they don't start transporting bombs or drugs on our young children. This i heard was called mules..They should give us our dignity when being checked. This is what the private screening areas are for. Who have we become/ A country that has to protect itself from terrorist or anyone else.
Is it safe to have the full body scanners? Well probably not. Is it more than likely that we will have problems later in life from this? The answer is most likely. We will have health related issues in our future. Happy Flying.

A really informational article
Great article.
One of the best articles i have ever read.
Thanks for your article. Airport Security is important to all of us. Thank YOU.
Great hub. Thanks
Hello and great hub on security at air ports. Since I am in the field I agree with all Security, scanning and all that. I have seen and found items that are not appropriate. Great writing.
I do think we need to take evry precaution when it comes to the safety of the flying public.
I understand the need for full body scanners, but that doesn't mean that I don't hate security. They've patted me down so many times just because those things make me look so nervous-- I end up looking like a terrorist! Thoughts start racing through my mind about what I can and can not have in my bag (mainly personal hygiene products) & I just get so worried. I had to fly a lot back and fourth to Michigan to visit family while Mike was gone. Each time I got patted down :( they're good, but they're nerve racking!
Rhonda
Airport Security is more show than real security.
When the TSA is using low paying not well trained security people, and machines to find the terrorists, it tells you that something is wrong.
I would prefer that instead of checking the 99.99999999% of airline passengers to find a few Terrorists, it would be better to employ the methods used in Israel.
TSA is reacting instead of being proactive. That means when the terrorists do something, then the TSA tries to close it, but the terrorists move on to another method.
Bottom Line is that the TSA is only given an illusion of security. IMO
Thanks
A wonderful hub. It is all about saving lives. God Bless You.
Rhonda, I believe we need to take precautions. It's sad to think we live in a nation that needs that type of security but there you have it. Great article.
Interesting hub...I didn't realize they were not going to pat down children under 12...as it should be. I travel a lot and thus far I have not had to experience the pat down.
I like airports but not that much
Excuse me "Dr. Snuggles" for being so polite. I appreciate your praise Rhonda, may God bless you.
Well you put it in such a gentlemanly tone, I am sorry. Rhonda this blog has truly helped me understand the importance of security. (no sarcasm intended)
I too have seen the light, airport security must go on! And to you Dr.Snuggles, may your family eat well tonight for the moon shines in your window, and the sun lives in your fireplace.
Rhonda that is fine! I greatly appreciate the fact that we voice ourselves freely on this website. And to this lovely Mr.Cuddles. Although we started out disagreeing, I am glad to see that we made up. May your heart have all the blessings of a newborn calf and may the souls of your ancestors sing in your presence for you have enlightened a poor simpleton.
Planes make me feel dizzy sometimes. I wish they would wing their hardcore jump before it landed. That would it much better. As for the security, I'd rather X-ray myself at home.
I am find this article extremely helpful to the importance of terrorism in society. This article made my heart sob with passion. I agree soulfully with you and all that agree with my agreeable attitude. Thank you, for this informative article.
